What is this practice?
Draw the hands to show half past. The long hand goes on 6 and the short hand between two numbers.
Why this level

Drawing half past means placing the short hand exactly between two numbers. Reading only requires recognising that position; drawing requires producing it. The long hand is fixed on 6 on all four clocks.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

- Drawing the long hand on 6 first makes the short hand easier to place.
- Saying aloud which number the short hand is nearer to helps.
