What is this practice?

Start at the ● and go straight across inside the path made by two lines. There are no turns. 5 paths on the sheet.

Why this level

Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)

The path is 16mm wide and each one is 130mm long. Just right for a pencil or colored pencil. A moment of inattention and it touches the wall. With 5 paths, stopping partway still means finishing one of 5.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

For grown-ups

  • Please don’t correct it when the line goes outside. First just watch whether your child reaches the end.
  • Crayons, colored pencils or felt-tip pens are all fine.
  • Stop when your child has had enough. There is no need to do them all.
