What is this practice?
Go diagonally from top left to bottom right. Still straight, but it needs more turning of the wrist than across or down. 2 paths on the sheet.
Why this level
Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)
The path is 16mm wide. Just right for a pencil or colored pencil. A moment of inattention and it touches the wall. Diagonal paths overlap easily, so there are only 2, keeping a clear slope on each one.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Top to bottom or bottom to top — either way is fine.
- Placing the paper at a slight angle makes it easier to draw.
