Why this level

Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)

The pictures below are line art, not colored — otherwise the answer would be visible rather than recalled. Only things with a fixed color are used; umbrellas or cars could be any color, so they are left out.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

For grown-ups

  • Asking “what color is an apple?” aloud helps.
  • Crossing lines are fine.
  • Coloring the pictures afterwards is a nice extra.
