What is this practice?
Shirt, drawn large enough to fill the sheet. Seven buttons run down the middle of the front, with one pocket on the chest. The collar and the cuffs are separate areas where the fabric folds over.
Why this level
Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)
The drawing measures 182×143mm. The line weight varies from place to place and the fine detail is kept as it is. The lines are dark enough that a photocopy does not drop them.The areas to color are split into several parts, so it is practice at deciding what goes where while coloring.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Coloring just the buttons a dark shade keeps it from looking empty even if the shirt is left white.
- Crayons or colored pencils both work.
- The colors do not have to match real life.
- There is no need to color all of it.
