What is this practice?

The 4 zhuyin symbols ㄅ ㄆ ㄇ ㄈ. On each row, trace two faint symbols then write in the two empty boxes.

Why this level

Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)

There are 37 zhuyin symbols in all. They are grouped in the order Taiwan teaches them (starting from ㄅ ㄆ ㄇ ㄈ), so the sheets can follow what a child has learned. The boxes are 39.5mm.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

For grown-ups

  • Stopping after one row is fine.
  • Saying each symbol aloud while writing links the shape to the sound.
