What is this practice?
Cut out the pictures at the bottom and paste each one into either box. 8 pictures in all.
Why this level
Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)
Unlike a sorting sheet with lines, this one is cut and pasted, so the hands stay busy after the thinking is done. Each of the 8 pieces is larger than 28mm so small hands can cut them. Pictures that could belong to either group are left out.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Cutting everything first, then placing, works well.
- Placing before gluing allows checking.
- An adult can do the cutting if it is too hard.
For safety
For grown-ups: 5 and 3. An adult must stay beside the child.
