What is this practice?

Find the one panda in exactly the same pose as the sample and circle it. 11 in all, and only one matches.

Why this level

Step: Step 1 · GripAround ages 2–3 (guide)

Every animal on this sheet is the same character; only the pose differs — arms up, standing, seen from behind, and so on. 4 different poses, and exactly one matching the sample. This trains visual discrimination, the step before spot-the-difference.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

For grown-ups

  • Say the sample pose aloud first — "sitting, arms down" — to fix the target.
  • Scanning from one edge helps.
  • Compare the answer with the sample once found.
