What is this practice?
5 of the same pictures along the top and the bottom. Join each picture to its match. No reading needed.
Why this level
Step: Step 1 · Grip・Around ages 2–3 (guide)
The bottom row is in a different order, so joining straight down does not work. No words are used at all, so it works before a child can read. The lines cross, so following with a finger first and then switching to a pencil makes success more likely.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Following it with a finger first, then switching to a pencil, makes success more likely.
- Crossing lines are fine.
