What is this practice?
This landscape A4 sheet introduces one way to write the uppercase “Y”. A large numbered model sits beside a picture for “Yo-yo”, followed by three trace boxes and three blank boxes.
Why this level
Step: Step 3 · Write & Read・Around age 6 and up (guide)
There is no single alphabet stroke order prescribed by a public authority. This sheet shows one practical starting point and direction; other ways are not wrong. Capitals and small letters stay on separate sheets because their shapes differ. Each practice box is 39.5mm wide.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Print on A4 in landscape at 100%.
- Finger-trace the large model first, following the colored numbers.
- After three pale models, use as many blank boxes as feel comfortable.
