What is this practice?

A whole sheet for just the lowercase “e”. There are 4 rows; on each, trace two faint letters then write two more.

Why this level

Step: Step 3 · Write & Read・Around age 6 and up (guide)

Built the same way as the one-character hiragana sheets, with 39.5mm boxes. Most letters a child actually sees are lowercase, so it is possible to start there.Capitals and small letters get separate sheets so that one sheet means one thing to learn.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

  • Please don’t correct letters that stray outside the box.
  • There is no need to do all four rows.
