What is this practice?

Join the numbers in order from 1 to 4. Come back to 1 at the end and a square appears.

Why this level

Step: Step 1 · GripAround ages 2–3 (guide)

There are 4 dots. A sheet for after a child can read 1 to 10.The spacing keeps each line short enough that the aim does not drift.

Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.

The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

For grown-ups

  • Saying the numbers out loud while joining keeps a child on track.
  • Coming back to 1 at the end closes the shape.
  • Once joined, it can be colored in to finish.
