Why this level
Step: Step 2 · Trace・Around ages 4–5 (guide)
The pictures are identical; only the size differs, so the answer depends on size rather than preference. Even the closest pair differs by 1.35× or more, a gap that is clear on sight. There are 4 choices.
Ages are only a guide. Children of the same age can do different things, so each card also shows what a child can already do.
The sheet title and the note for grown-ups are printed in English. Words inside the activity itself stay in Japanese or Traditional Chinese.
For grown-ups
- Pointing at each in turn and asking “this one? or this one?” makes comparing easier.
- Even without the words “big” and “small”, pointing correctly means it is understood.
- Once the answer is said aloud, the circle may run outside the box.
